Abstract:The evolution of catalysis and functional group transfer reagents play a significant role in the development of anti‐Markovnikov alkene hydrofunctionalization reactions, facilitating the access to value‐added molecules. We herein report the first rational design of a modular intermolecular anti‐Markovnikov hydronitration of alkenes, enabling the direct synthesis of terminal nitroalkanes under visible light‐mediated photoredox catalysis. By employing the redox‐active organic nitrating reagent N‐nitrosuccinimide… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
