“…This indicated that physisorption is likely the dominant mechanism of adsorption. It appears that a monolayer adsorption process takes place on a homogeneous surface of the 3D-printed structures . Further analysis of the adsorption process using the IPD kinetic model (Figure c,d) revealed the presence of two distinguishable stages corresponding to the intraparticle diffusion and adsorption equilibrium stages with a high coefficient of determination.…”

“…It appears that a monolayer adsorption process takes place on a homogeneous surface of the 3D-printed structures. 37 Further analysis of the adsorption process using the IPD kinetic model (Figure 7c,d) revealed the presence of two distinguishable stages corresponding to the intraparticle diffusion and adsorption equilibrium stages with a high coefficient of determination. As a result, the adsorption kinetics of both MO and DR31 dyes on the 3D-MXOF structures were described by the two diffusion processes.…”

“…The L2 dynamic adsorption performance onto the adsorbents was evaluated based on a previous study [ 34 ]. The relevant parameters were as follows: L2 inlet concentration ( C in ), 14.62 mg L −1 , gas flow rate ( V g ), 50 mL min −1 (superficial velocity of 100 cm min − 1 , cross-sectional area of 0.5 cm 2 ), and temperature ( T ), 20 °C.…”

“…Pristine biochar derived from coconut shells was found to be able to adsorb 223.3 mg/g of hexamethyldisiloxane, which was increased to 356.4 mg/g when biochar was loaded with 3.0% iron oxides. The adsorption capacity of biochar-loaded iron was effectively related to enhanced surface area and pore volume after metal-biochar incorporation (Meng et al 2021). As a result, biochar can adsorb siloxanes impurity, indicating the enormous potential of engineered biochars for biogas cleaning.…”
