Abstract:A facile photocatalytic Pickering emulsion polymerization process was developed to fabricate polymer/clay composite microcapsules. Photolatent Pickering emulsions of oil (monomer, crosslinker, Irgacure 819 and octane) in water were prepared using palygorskite fibers (PAL) as particulate emulsifier.
