“…In principle, the polarization mechanism of polymers includes electronic polarization, atomic polarization, and orientation polarization . Among them, the dipole orientation polarization has the greatest influence on the dielectric properties of materials. , The cross-linked structure can effectively hinder the electron mobility of the PI molecular chains, further preventing the electron cloud of PI molecular chains being polarized by external electric or electromagnetic fields, causing an obvious decrease in the dielectric constants of cross-linked and rigid PI-based composite foams . The transmission state of electromagnetic waves in the medium is usually characterized in terms of wave transmission coefficient ( T ).…”

“…The silane CA solution of 4 wt% was prepared by adding silane CA to 95% ethanol. 27 Meanwhile, the pristine PI fibers and PI fibers treated with O 2 plasma for 18, 27, and 36 min were wound and fixed on a rectangular frame, and then soaked in the silane CA solution for 6 h at 25°C. Afterwards, the fibers were washed three times with deionized water and dried in an oven at 100°C for 4 h. No significant difference between pristine and treated fibers was observed by visual inspection.…”

“…15 26 However, alkali treatment and thermal treatment will destroy the structure of PI fibers. Surface functionalization with polymer membranes can improve the interfacial properties between fiber and resin without impairing the mechanical properties of fibers, such as dopamine, silane CA, 27 and different random copolymers. 28 Liu et al.…”

“…As shown in Figure 9, there are no other absorption peaks except for the characteristic absorption peaks of -OH at 3400 cm À1 , which indicates that organic groups in PBO aerogels basically burns during the combustion process, and only the porous residual carbon and adsorbed moisture. However, the characteristic peaks of Si-O-Si at 1115 cm À1 and 463 cm À1 still exist in SiO 2 -PBO-C. [36][37][38] Moreover, the characteristic peaks of the benzene ring (1500 cm À1 ) and C-H (827 cm À1 ) bond also exist, indicating that the structure of benzene ring has not been destroyed completely in SiO 2 -PBO-C, 7,34,35 and further justifying that SiO 2 -PBO aerogels have superior flame retardancy, high temperature oxidation resistance.…”
