“…In a study, Yulizar et al reported the catalytic activity of F. vulgare in a nanocomposite which promoted the cleavage of the polymeric chains of drug carrier. 89 This activity may have role in unstableness of the chitosan matrix in CF5 specimen which resulted in complete loss of weight of polymeric films within 5 days. The remaining compositions CF10 and CF15 demonstrated that only 17% and 22% matrix remained respectively, after 30 days which was similar to C. verum loaded films.…”

“…Yulizar et al synthesized one-pot sol-gelmediated V 2 O 5 -Fe 2 O 3 nanocomposites of size 90 nm by using the leaf extracts of Foeniculum vulgare. The nanocomposite showed up to 94% removal of 4-nitrophenol from the aqueous solution (Yulizar et al, 2021b). Furthermore, Yulizar et al synthesized SiO 2 /NiFe 2 O 4 nanocomposites using the high-speed stirring (HSS) method using the leaf extract of Kleinhovia hospita L. and then used them for the reduction of 4-nitroaniline from aqueous solutions.…”

“…By combining the different metal oxides (MOs) to form new NCs, various properties of individual oxide could significantly enhanced and, consequently, open up a new avenue of research for optoelectronics, electrical, thermal, photo-catalysis, and biological applications 26 , 27 . Mixed metal oxide NCs can be fabricated via different approaches such as the co-precipitation 28 , sonochemical 7 , solution combustion 29 , microwave technique 10 , ultrasonic-assisted 30 and green methods 2 , 11 .…”
