Abstract:To address the poor corrosion resistance of titanium matrix composites treatment vessels for nuclear fuel reprocessing in HF solution at room temperature and high concentration of HCl/HNO3 solutions at high temperature, hierarchical micro‐/nanostructure surfaces with adjustable superhydrophobicity are prepared on Ti6Al4V‐based composites by laser microengraving followed by fluorosilane modification. The effect of topography and composition of the surface on wettability is investigated. More importantly, the an… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
