“…Therefore, the XRD patterns of the Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 and Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 ‐ Ag nanostructures preserve the (111), (220), (311), (400), (422), (511), (440) and (533) crystal plans of the typical Fe 3 O 4 spinel structure (Figure ). Besides, they contain the mainly characteristic (111), (200), (220) and (311) reflections of the Ag cubic phase (ICDD/PDF 01–1167), confirming the decoration of the Fe 3 O 4 with Ag nanoparticles . The oxidation of the magnetite to hematite in oxygen atmosphere at 800 °C, the XRD pattern shows the presence of (012), (104), (110), (113), (024), (116), (214) and (300) reflections of the rhombohedral structure of the α‐Fe 2 O 3 phase (ICDD/PDF 01–079‐0007), indicating the formation of high crystallinity hematite product.…”
