Facile synthesis of MgO-carbon nanocomposites for advanced capacitive electrode materials

Abstract: The current study aims to develop a unique approach for constructing an asymmetric supercapacitor utilising a nanocomposite of MgO-Carbon as electrode material. The geometrical surface area of the MgO-Carbon has shown to be highly porous with different porosities, and the value is 210 m 2 g − 1 . This supercapacitor operates with an aqueous electrolyte consisting of 1M KOH.
