Abstract:Introduction: Amblyopia is the leading cause of monocular vision loss in paediatric age groups. It is a preventable and reversible condition when detected and treated early. Refractive error is the most common cause of childhood amblyopia, and cannot be adequately detected by standard vision assessment in primary care.
