Abstract:BACKGROUND: Prevention of mother-to-child Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) transmission or prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) is part of efforts to control HIV-Acquired Deficiency Syndrome and sexually transmitted infections. In Indonesia, there were 1,805,993 pregnant women who were tested for HIV and there were 5074 (0.28%) pregnant women who were HIV positive.
