“…Identificamos nesta pesquisa que dos 80 pacientes entrevistados, 55% (44 participantes) não trabalhavam, porque estavam desempregados ou eram aposentados, e 45% (36 voluntários) trabalhavam regularmente ou exerciam algum tipo de atividade remunerada fora de casa. Contrapondo os dados apresentados neste estudo, Wo et al 26 identificaram que dos 146 pacientes com epilepsia avaliados, a maior parte 64% estavam empregados, observou-se que este grupo apresentou maior motivação, autoestima, suporte social e menor estigma em comparação ao grupo que estava sem emprego. Os autores 26 indicam que fatores ligados ao tipo de epilepsia, nível de escolaridade e aspectos psicológicos, afetam diretamente a empregabilidade destes pacientes.…”
