Factors Affecting the Properties of Conglasscrete

Abstract: Chloride attack is one of the most important aspects for consideration when we deal with the durability of concrete. Chloride attack is particularly important because it primarily causes corrosion of reinforcement. Statistics have indicated that over 40% of failure of structures is due to corrosion of reinforcement. This paper deals with an experimental study on the mechanism of chloride attack. Cement replacement by glass powder in the range of 5% to 40% in increments of 5% and EPCO KP-200 used in concrete as… Show more

“…However, there was no work procedure to check each batch of material and equipment, for example, concrete, windows, and expanded polystyrene insulation (EPS). Attar et al (2012) illustrated that the incompetent supervisor is a top factor affecting TOC construction projects. In Poland, Głuszak and Leśniak (2015) also stated that there is poor supervision of construction works.…”

“…By products such as slag, residues from power generation, recycled concrete, quarry and mining waste, waste glass, combustion residue, red mud, fired clay, sawdust, ash from burning, and cast sand. Green concrete" is as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional concrete, made from sustainable materials or by incorporating recycled content [5,6,7,8]. It can also refer to concrete that has a lower carbon footprint than traditional concrete, achieved through the use of alternative binders or reducing the amount of Portland cement used in the mix [9].…”

“…Several indicators of the working environment that impact construction workers' performance have been identified in the literature. These include factors such as lighting conditions (Hyder, 2016), risks and safety measures (Parida et al, 2016), access to medical services (Aina & Adesanya, 2015), provision of training facilities (Ikediashi et al, 2012), challenges posed by environmental conditions (Venugopal, 2016), availability and maintenance of equipment (Attar et al, 2012;Sinha, 2015), job execution errors and delays (Enshassi et al, 2007;Zhang & Huo, 2015), coordination and cooperation issues (Jarkas & Radosavljevic, 2013;Aina & Adesanya, 2015), transportation concerns (Adamu et al, 2011;Funso et al, 2016), and other related barriers.…”
