Abstract:In this paper few of the factors affecting the dynamic stability of a steel-alumina functionally graded sandwiched (FGSW) beam have been discussed. The equation of motion was derived using both Hamilton’s principle and finite element method. Floquet’s theory was used to separate the stable zone from the unstable. The effect of hub radius parameter and rotational speed on first mode and second mode instability region of FGSW beam have been studied following the power law and exponential law. The results indicat… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
