Integrating new technologies in schools improves different processes and increases trust and confidence from various stakeholders. Advancements in education are a 21st-century goal that every learning institution should consider. This study aims to conduct sentiment analysis on the acceptance of Radio Frequency Identification technology-based solutions among the private and public learning institutions in Nueva Ecija, Philippines, that have implemented the technology. School administrators and teachers participated in the study. Sentiments were analyzed using open-ended questions relating to their acceptance of the technology. Based on the analysis, more favourable terms occurred in their responses than negative words, as presented using a word cloud. The researcher thinks that school administrators and teachers of today are more open to technological progress and integrating technologies into education to improve the quality of processes, improve the delivery of instruction, create a safer and more secure learning environment, and encourage the use of new technologies to raise the quality of teaching and learning.

The purpose of this study is to identify and explain how teachers, as street-level bureaucrats, carry out their roles in supporting the implementation of digital-based learning programs at SMA Negeri 5 Kupang. This research was conducted using a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, a literature study, and field observation. The results showed that teachers of SMA Negeri 5 Kupang, as street level bureaucrats, carry out five roles to support the implementation of digital-based learning programs, namely: (1) mentors, as alternative providers in solving problems related to the use of digital media, as curriculum providers, and as innovators; (2) mentors, as teachers in the operation of hardware, software, and applications applied in digital-based learning, and as advisors; (3) motivators, motivating students to think critically in the use of digital media, appreciating, and improving students' skills; (4) facilitator, providing access to the use of digital technology, providing project-or task-based learning, facilitating online discussion, and building communication with parents; (5) demonstrator, showing students how to use digital media effectively and efficiently, providing examples, and demonstrating how to solve technical problems; and (6) evaluator, assessing students' progress in the application of digital technology and assessing the safety of the application of digital technology. The results also show that in carrying out this role, SMA Negeri 5 Kupang teachers are still faced with several obstacles, such as limited resources, financial constraints, limited knowledge and skills, the digital divide, a lack of awareness related to digital ethics, a lack of student involvement and motivation, limited subjectivity, observation difficulties, and the complexity of digital security.

Physical education (PE) is challenging to teach in a face-to-face setup due to its rigorous physical activities (PA). This challenge intensified with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting a shift toward exclusively adopting distance learning education (DLE) or online education (OE). Since there is a lack of elaboration on the challenges encountered by PE teachers in teaching the subject in such a setup and understanding the solutions they have implemented for its successful delivery, this study reviews available studies to understand this case. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) bounded by inclusion-exclusion criteria, 39 Philippine studies were screened and considered for review. Despite PE teachers confronting a series of challenges and these hurdles demanding a paradigm shift in teaching strategies, particularly in maintaining physical engagement and connection in a virtual setting, these challenges spurred resilience and innovation. In particular, interprofessional collaboration for pedagogical resilience, adaptation of innovative pedagogies, improving technological proficiency, and dealing with remote environments are commendable actions that PE teachers demonstrated in times of DLE/OE. The study concludes that PE teachers demonstrated a commitment to collective success, similar to other subjects, by providing students with a diverse educational journey despite the nature of the subject.
