This study aims to determine the implementation of a sustainable food garden program as an effort to accelerate the reduction of stunting in Bone Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. This study focuses on policy implementation using Merilee S Grindle's theory. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of sustainable food garden program as an effort to accelerate the reduction of stunting in Bone Regency has been going well, in accordance with Merilee S Grindle's implementation theory. With several sub-indicators, the contents of the policy are interests, benefits, changes, decision-making, and program implementers. While the indicators that need to be improved are resources. Resources need to be increased so that the provision of vegetable seeds to the community can be more evenly distributed

Reducing the prevalence of stunting, particularly in regions with high rates like North Aceh, presents a crucial challenge in enhancing the quality of life for communities. In this context, the role of relevant government departments is of paramount importance, as they are responsible for implementing policies and development initiatives aimed at stunting reduction.This research offers an in-depth analysis of how the related government departments in North Aceh have contributed to stunting reduction policies and their impact on sustainable development. The study explores various strategies employed by these departments, including inter-agency collaboration, resource allocation, policy formulation, and the implementation of evidence-based programs and projects focused on reducing stunting. The research findings underscore the significance of inter-departmental collaboration as a strong foundation for tackling stunting issues in North Aceh. Effective coordination and the division of responsibilities among various agencies have enabled more efficient resource utilization. Furthermore, policy formulation directed at stunting reduction and the implementation of evidence-based programs have made a substantial contribution to stimulating sustainable growth. This study also addresses the challenges faced by these government departments, such as limited resources and practical constraints in implementing stunting reduction programs. Nevertheless, with unwavering commitment and support from various stakeholders, these departments continue to actively play a crucial role in achieving sustainable development goals, with stunting reduction as a key component. Background and AimsDiabetes mellitus, characterized by high blood glucose, is an overwhelming public health concern globally, including in Bangladesh. The implication of this trend may pose a significant challenge to the health systems due to the lack of awareness and improper management of this chronic disease. To formulate strategies for public health planning, this study aims to explore the potential risk factors for elevated blood glucose levels among Bangladeshi individuals using advanced statistical methods and a nationally representative data set.MethodsThis study utilized data from the 2017−18 Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey and included 11,863 individuals. A nonparametric Kruskal−Wallis test assessed the significant association between fasting plasma glucose levels and various risk factors. Additionally, a robust quantile regression model was applied to examine the net effects of each risk factor at different quantiles of the distribution.ResultsThe prevalence of diabetes is 8.1% among individuals in the study population, with variations observed across different administrative divisions in the country. Respondents from the Dhaka division respondents had a higher likelihood (24.1%) of having elevated plasma glucose and the Rangpur division had a lower risk (10.3%) of developing diabetes disease. This study identified several potential risk factors associated with elevated blood glucose levels, including hypertensive disease, overweight and obese body mass index, higher economic status, reduced physical activities, and older age, significantly contributing to develop diabetes mellitus.ConclusionThis study recommends promoting healthy lifestyles, increased physical activity, effective hypertension management, obesity reduction, and nationwide screening programs to control diabetes and noncommunicable diseases in Bangladesh. These preventive measures are crucial for reducing the existing prevalence of diabetes and working toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
