Factors, Increasing the Efficiency of Work of Maintenance, Repair and Operation Units of Industrial Enterprises

Abstract: The article contains the analysis of factors influencing the efficiency of work of equipment maintenance, repair and operation (MRO) units of industrial enterprises. We have systematized various classifications of these factors, which were proposed in economic literature by different authors. We have divided the factors into following groups: general and local; primary and secondary; external and internal; major and non-essential; direct and oblique; reducing and boosting the expenses on equipment MRO and repa… Show more

“…An additional, recommended FMEA analysis will allow assessing the risk associated with each nonconformity and allow proposing corrective and preventive actions aimed at reducing this risk to an acceptable level for the plant. Lean [40] and TPM [41] tools should also be used to reduce waste on production and increase the efficiency of using production equipment in the studied company. In addition to basic quality management tools [42], ISO 9000, the range of quality management system in studied company must be supplemented by the implementation of process management approaches, the Six Sigma method and also Kaizen philosophy.…”

“…That's why the quality of materials used in construction is so crucial. Many authors emphasize that the quality of materials used in production is a factor that can have the most significant impact on the final result [13][14][15]. The use of appropriate solutions and materials in this field not only accelerates the construction process but also enhances the durability of the constructed buildings.…”

“…This can be viewed as applying a soft capacity constraint to the problem. Unravished capacity constraints and soft capacity constraints allow the producer to exceed the defined production limit, but receive a penalty in the objective function [18][19][20]. If the penalty is small, the problem becomes similar to uncapacitated facility location problems.…”

“…Pirkul and Jayaraman developed a heuristic method based on Lagrangian relaxation to solve the capacitated location problem with multiple product types in 1998 [13]. In 1997, Holmberg and Ling expanded the location model for a staircase cost function and solved the resulting model with a heuristic solution method [9,18].…”
