“…There is no study conducted in Turkey on the examination of master's degree programs in the context of lifelong learning competencies. However, in the research conducted by Kazu and Demiralp (2016), it can be said that teacher-training programs are consistent with the results of the study that they are not suitable for gaining lifelong learning competency. “…Thus, it appears clear that universities have to equip preservice PE teachers and sport coaches with skills needed to connect this with the acquisition of values and enhancement of sound development (critical thinking, autonomy, drive for professional development, and health-related awareness). However, some studies [57] suggest that teacher programmes are insufficient in providing preservice teachers with life-long learning competences, especially concerning self-improvement, and teacher candidates are critical of the training program and quality of the academic staff [58]. This needs to be taken into account seriously.…”

“…Teachers could not perform their assigned tasks because they were not knowledgeable about the curriculum tasks or projects. Literature shows that teachers should be clear about the materials such as knowledge content, teaching methodology of the curriculum as well as experience for them to effectively implement a curriculum change (Kazu & Demiralp, 2016). To support this view, Ornstein and Hunkins (2004) allude that teachers should have adequate knowledge about the CA first and fore most because teaching is influence by teachers.…”
