Faculty Status, Tenure, and Professional Identity: A Pilot Study of Academic Librarians in New England

Abstract: Faculty status, tenure, and professional identity have been long-lasting issues for academic librarians for nearly forty years, yet there is little agreement on the benefits of faculty status.
