Abstract:The research presented in this paper proposes a new packet scheduling algorithm that provides a fair, class based, delay jitter controlled packet scheduling scheme that manages handoff and buffer occupancy for 4G wireless access systems. Improved quality of service (QoS) in mobile broadband IP high-speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) networks is an important focus for next generation networks. The new packet scheduling algorithm is implemented at both the IP and radio layer and reduces the handoff packet drop… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
