The study aims to examine the factors that influence student absenteeism among 352 business students at private universities in Bangladesh. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling techniques have been employed with emphasis on loading, reliability, validity, model fit, and path analysis. The major findings revealed that family dynamics, financial constraints such as tuition, health concerns (both physical and mental), and relationships with peers have a substantial impact on students’ absenteeism. Notably, digital distraction, educational quality, bullying, and transportation challenges had no significant influence. The results provide valuable insight for university administrators, enabling focused interventions that can decrease student absenteeism by addressing significant factors.
