Fashion misadventure: small bowel perforation caused by magnetic tongue studs usage

Abstract: A 36-year-old male was admitted with 1-day duration of sudden onset abdominal pain, vomiting and fever. Clinically, he was lethargic looking with generalized abdominal tenderness and guarding.Investigations revealed an elevated white cell count of 19 with no pneumoperitoneum seen on erect chest radiograph.
