Fast and Efficient Method to Calculate Electric Fields as Applied to Topology Optimization of Microdevices

Abstract: A new numerical approach is proposed for fast and efficient calculation of electric waves passing through wave microdevices using the Helmholtz equation. The efficiency, speed, and accuracy of the method are investigated.
