Abstract:Neutron activation is widely applied for the preparation of radioactive isotopes to be used in imaging and/or therapy. The type of diagnostic/therapeutic agents varies from small chelates coordinating radioactive metal ions to complex nanoparticulate systems. Design of these agents often relies on conjugation of certain organic functionalities that determine their pharmacokinetics, biodistribution, targeting, and cell-penetrating abilities, or simply on tagging them with an optical label. The conjugation chemi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
