Fatigue resistance and damage mechanisms of 2D woven SiC/SiC composites at high temperatures

Abstract: Fatigue resistance and damage mechanisms of 2D woven SiC/SiC composites at high temperatures were investigated in this research. Fatigue behavior tests were performed at 1200°C and 1000 • C at 10 Hz and stress ratio of 0.1 for maximum stresses ranging from 80 to 120 MPa, and the fatigue run-out could be defined as 10 6 cycles.
