Fault detection for a class of non‐linear networked control systems in the presence of Markov sensors assignment with partially known transition probabilities

Abstract: In this study, the problem of fault detection for a class of discrete-time non-linear networked control systems is investigated. An event modelled as a Markov chain taking matrix values in a certain set with partially known transition probabilities is utilised to characterise the phenomenon of the sensors assignment. A full-order mode-dependent fault detection filter is constructed and the corresponding fault detection problem is converted into an H ∞ filtering problem of a Markov jump system with partially kn… Show more

“…Such an equation, even for linear systems, is nonlinear, and its solution requires the application of appropriate numerical procedures. This problem does not exist in the approaches devoted to detecting or classifying defects belonging to predefined classes [9,18,21,31,35]. A sketch of the diagnostic procedure, which proposes using the integer algorithm concept described in the previous sections, is presented below.…”

“…• Furthermore, in contrast to previous studies, 1,2,4,10,12,27 our research incorporates the nonfragile controller. Consequently, the fluctuation in gain assumes a crucial role in evaluating of the finite-time boundedness criterion within the context of control problems, rendering it highly significant from a practical standpoint.…”

“…The basic idea of the model‐based approaches of fault detection is to make the state observer or filter to fabricate a residual signal. Many issues related to the stability and stabilization of observer‐based fault detection problem via LMI approach have been reported in References 3 and 4. The analysis and integrated design concerns of a real‐time Lfalse/L2$$ {L}_{\infty }/{L}_2 $$ type of observer‐based fault detection systems for nonlinear processes with external disturbances has been investigated in Reference 5.…”

“…In response to the aforementioned discussion, the FD problem for switched systems has been reported in the literatures [20–22], and the same problem of NCSs has been proposed in [2325]. However, to the best of authors' knowledge, the FD problem for switched systems which contain quantisation effects and packet dropout has not been investigated yet.…”
