Fault Diagnosis of Intershaft Bearings Using Fusion Information Exergy Distance Method

Abstract: For the fault diagnosis of intershaft bearings, the fusion information exergy distance method (FIEDM) is proposed by fusing four information exergies, such as singular spectrum exergy, power spectrum exergy, wavelet energy spectrum exergy, and wavelet space spectrum exergy, which are extracted from acoustic emission (AE) signals under multiple rotational speeds and multimeasuring points. The theory of FIEDM is investigated based on four information exergy distances under multirotational speeds. As for rolling … Show more

“…For entropy analysis of the ECG signal, a Matlab code was developed (MATLAB R2017a; MathWorks Inc., Natick, MA, United States, 2014) using the algorithms for calculation of AAPE ( Azami and Escudero, 2016 ) and IEIN ( Zhang et al, 2014 ) based on robust empirical permutation entropy rePEnew ( Unakafova, 2015 ). Analysis of each ECG record provided values of AAPE and IEIN σ ( Tian et al, 2018 ). The first parameter characterizes the (ir)regularity of the ECG signal, whereas the second one describes its development in time.…”

“…Therefore, the accurate dynamic modeling of rolling-element bearings has attracted more and more attention in the field of the mechanical industry. It can provide theoretical guidance for the development of fault diagnosis techniques of rolling-element bearings [2,3].…”

“…Once rolling bearing fault occurs, it directly affects the working state and operation efficiency of a rotor system. In the online monitoring of aeroengine, sensors are mainly installed on the outer surface of casings to monitor the health status of rolling bearing, so that too long signal propagation path induces vibration signals attenuation, low signal to noise ratio (SNR) of fault signals, and difficult extraction of fault features [1]. erefore, it is urgent to study the weak fault diagnosis of intershaft bearings [2][3][4].…”
