Fe3O4@SiO2‐APTES@Isophthaloyl Dichloride/Montmorillonite Magnetic Nanoparticles for Efficient Removal of Pb2+ and Cd2+

Abstract: A novel magnetic nanocomposite for removing Cd 2+ and Pb 2+ was prepared by surface coating of Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles with (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES), followed by functionalization with isophthaloyl dichloride and hybridization with nano montmorillonite (MMT). The structure of the resulting nanocomposite was determined.
