“…The significant effects of MBSR on symptoms of depression have been demonstrated in a range of clinical and non-clinical populations ( 74 ). Particularly during the epidemic, MBSR has shown promising results for medical staff ( 75 ), isolated patients ( 76 ), unemployed people ( 77 ), and university students ( 78 ) to reduce distress and depression. This study supports the scientific application of MBSR and recommends it as an intervention for depression treatment of young adults deeply affected by personal distress .…”

Indeed, meta-analytic findings suggest the efficacy of mindfulness-based interventions is similar to second-line treatments for PTSD (Gallegos et al, 2017).…”

“…Indeed, pro-social attitudes, traits, and actions are increased by mindfulness practice [7,8,9] compared to [10], as well as gratitude [11], compassion, and self-compassion. [12] Studies have shown that interventions involving mindful practice of self-transcendent emotions like gratitude, loving-kindness, compassion, or self-compassion increase self-transcendent emotions and altruistic behavior in comparison to interventions that only focus on experience monitoring or perspective taking. [13,14,15] Like mindfulness, confidence is important for one's mental health and personal growth.…”
