Abstract:The article presents research data on the process of adsorption refining (bleaching) of cottonseed oil, which differs from other vegetable oils in its complex composition and the presence of gossypol. Activated Tulsoh palygorskite has been proposed as a bleaching adsorbent. Studies have shown that the introduction of palygorskite in an amount of 1.0 to 2.5% helps reduce the color of both press oil and oils obtained by extraction.
