Features of intestinal damage in COVID-19

Abstract: This review presents a systematization of the literature on the nature of intestinal involvement in the pathological process in COVID-19; discusses the role of the “gut-lung axis” phenomenon in the implementation of the infectious process, provides an algorithm for choosing safe drug therapy in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, and analyzes risk factors for antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
