Features of noise radiation from gas turbines

Abstract: Gas turbine unit (GTU) is the most intensive source of constant noise during normal operation. The noise of the gas turbine unit is emitted from the compressor intake, from the installation shell and from the chimney mouth of the gas turbine unit. Mathematical models for GTU of various capacities are compiled. It is shown that the determining role plays the noise from combustion. That noise is radiated from the chimney outside.
