Modern technologies of composite coatings synthesis often use chemically reacting mixtures in combination
with moving high-energy heat sources. The chemical transformations that occur during this process can be divided into two groups. The first group leads to the formation of strengthening particles, the secondto the matrix composition formation. In this work, a two-level model of coatings synthesis with reduced scheme of chemical reactions is proposed. It is assumed that chemical reactions occur at the particle level, so the local volume of initial powders mixture is replaced by a conventional reaction cell. The averaged information is transferred to the macrolevel, where the temperature field is calculated. The possibility of calculating accompanying stresses and deformations of the second kind has been demonstrated. Different synthesis modes have been identified.
