“…The experiment reflects the results of McKenna and coworkers [ 35 ], who accounted for 70% of the variation in dry matter intake in Simmental cattle. Romansin and coworkers [ 44 ] also used multiple regression to predict DMI based on performance data used for RFI calculations and behavioral traits; the base model explained 50.5% of the DMI variability, and an additional 5% of the variation in DMI can be explained feeding behavioral traits.
