Feltsamtaler som datakilde i kvalitativ samfunnsforskning

Abstract: Denne artikkelen belyser feltsamtaler som forskningsverktøy. Show more

“…The observations of interactions between relatives and HCPs lasted from a few minutes to several hours. Observations of participants focused on the following: ‘ What did the relatives do?’, ‘ What did the relatives say?’, ‘ How did the relatives act and negotiate?’ and ‘ How did the relatives communicate and interact with HCPs?’ In addition, informal field conversations with participants provided insight into why the relatives acted as they did (Buvik et al, 2020). The researcher took field notes during and immediately after observations and field conversations.…”

“…The researcher took field notes during and immediately after observations and field conversations. The notes included descriptive observations about the relatives' actions, statements, verbal and non‐verbal communication and social interactions with HCPs (Buvik et al, 2020; Higginbottom et al, 2013). The notes also included information on the noise level, the design, and the atmosphere of the room and on other relevant contextual factors.…”

“…During the fieldwork, I engaged in field conversations (Buvik et al, 2020) with the caseworkers. Wadel (2014) emphasises the combination of asking questions and doing participant observations as the best way of getting to know the practices of informants.…”
