Femoral Artery Branch Pseudoaneurysm Resulting From Muscle Strain Injury

Abstract: A 66-year-old male presented with pain and swelling isolated to the right thigh after a bout of vigorous exercise on a step treadmill. We report a muscle strain injury resulting in formation of a pseudoaneurysm arising from a branch of the mid superficial femoral artery. The pseudoaneurysm was incidentally discovered during a venous ultrasound examination. Within 2 weeks of its finding, the pseudoaneurysm had resolved.
