Abstract:2-N-Tosylaminobenzaldehyde ferrocenoylhydrazone was synthesized. The crystal structure of the hydrazone was shown to include two independent molecules differing in mutual orientation of the tosyl and ferrocene fragments. Quantum-chemical simulation of the hydrazone tautomerism was performed. Its complexes with Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) were synthesized and investigated.
