-The banana tree is grown in an extensive tropical region throughout the world, usually by small producers. The present work had the objective of evaluating irrigation systems in banana production in the Açu -RN Valley, aiming at alternatives so that they can be recommended to farmers in the Açu Valley region. The experiment was carried out in the area of the School Farm of the IFRN Campus Ipanguaçu, located in the municipality of Ipanguaçu-RN. The experiment was carried out in a randomized complete block design with subdivided plots and eight replications. The irrigation systems were: irrigation, drip irrigation, micro sprinkler and alternative irrigation. The plots were composed of eight useful plants with spacing in double rows 4 x 2 x 2 m. Eight characteristics related to production were evaluated: bunch mass (MC); number of leaves (NP); number of fruits per cluster (NFC); mean mass of the leaves (MMP); diameter of the fruit of the second seed (DF2P); length of the fruit of the second seed (CF2P); mean fruit mass (MMF); productivity (Prod). The data were submitted to analysis of variance and the means were compared by the Tukey test at 5% of probability. In the first cycle of production the sprinkler irrigation system was the one that presented better results the productivity of the Pacovan banana tree; in the 3rd cycle the alternative irrigation system was the one that showed better results the productivity of the banana tree; where the electrical conductivity correlated with the sodium adsorption ratio in the irrigation water, contributed to a moderate limitation of use.Keywords: Fruit crop. CARACTERÍSTICAS AGRONÔMICAS DA BANANEIRA ORGÂNICA 'PACOVAN' EM SISTEMAS DE IRRIGAÇÃO NO VALE DO AÇU-RNRESUMO -A bananeira é cultivada em uma extensa região tropical em todo mundo, geralmente por pequenos produtores. O presente trabalho teve o objetivo de avaliar sistemas de irrigação na produção de banana no Vale do Açu-RN, visando alternativas para que possam ser recomendados aos agricultores da região do Vale do Açu. O experimento foi realizado na área da Fazenda Escola do IFRN Campus Ipanguaçu, localizado no município de Ipanguaçu-RN. O ensaio foi conduzido por um período de três ciclos de produção, em delineamento de blocos casualizados com parcelas subdivididas e oito repetições, sendo representados por quatro sistemas de irrigação: aspersão, gotejamento, microaspersão e alternativo. As parcelas foram constituídas de oito plantas úteis com espaçamento em fileiras duplas 4 x 2 x 2 m. A B S T R A C TThis research aimed to evaluate the yield and economic viability of three crop cycles of the banana cv. 'Prata Anã' in association with perennial herbaceous legumes, natural vegetation, or compared with the conventional management. The research was conducted using a complete randomized block design with split-split plots and four replicates. The plots were formed by four irrigation depths: 50, 75, 100 and 125% of crop evapotranspiration, and the subplots by cover crops (Calopogonium muconoides, Pueraria phaseoloides, and natural cover without N addition) or no cover crops with addition of N fertilization (conventional management). The subsubplots were formed by the second, third and fourth banana production cycles. Yield and economic viability of the cultivation were estimated for a period of seven years. The conventional management promoted greater yield and economic viability in the cultivation of 'Prata Anã' banana, due to the N fertilization. Managements with leguminous cover crops were also economically viable, but they should be investigated in combination with N fertilization and compared with the conventional method.Produtividade e viabilidade econômica da bananeira associada com plantas de cobertura R E S U M O Objetivou-se, com este trabalho, avaliar a produtividade e a viabilidade econômica em três ciclos da bananeira cv. Prata Anã em associação com leguminosas herbáceas perenes, vegetação nativa ou comparadas com o manejo convencional. A pesquisa foi conduzida utilizando-se delineamento em blocos casualizados com parcelas subsubdivididas com quatro repetições. As parcelas foram formadas por quatro lâminas de irrigação: 50, 75, 100 e 125% da evapotranspiração da cultura e as subparcelas por plantas de cobertura (Calopogonium mucunoides, Pueraria phaseoloides e vegetação espontânea sem adição de N) ou tratamento com adubação nitrogenada sem plantas de cobertura (manejo convencional). As subsubparcelas foram representadas pelos segundo, terceiro e quarto ciclos de produção da bananeira. Foram estimadas a produtividade e a viabilidade econômica do cultivo para um período de sete anos. O manejo convencional proporcionou maior produtividade e viabilidade econômica no cultivo da bananeira Prata Anã em função da adubação nitrogenada. Manejos com plantas de cobertura leguminosas também foram viáveis economicamente mas devem ser investigados em combinação com a adubação nitrogenada e comparada com o método convencional.

Resumo -O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os teores foliares de nutrientes e a produtividade de bananeiras tipo Prata, submetidas a diferentes sistemas de irrigação, durante o primeiro ciclo de produção. Adotou-se o delineamento experimental em blocos ao acaso, com seis tratamentos dispostos em esquema fatorial 3x2: três sistemas de irrigação (aspersão convencional, microaspersão e gotejamento); e dois genótipos (Prata-Anã e seu híbrido PA42-44). Utilizaram-se quatro repetições, no espaçamento de 3,0x2,5 m. Procedeu-se às avaliações aos 90, 180 e 360 dias após o plantio. Os genótipos e os sistemas de irrigação apresentaram interações significativas quanto aos teores foliares de B e Cu, aos 180 dias após o plantio; e os genótipos diferiram entre si quanto aos teores de N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Cu e Mn, independentemente dos sistemas de irrigação. Os teores foliares dos nutrientes ocorreram em níveis adequados ou acima deles. Os menores teores foliares de micronutrientes ocorrem sob gotejamento. The experimental design was in randomized blocks, with six treatments in 3x2 factorial arrangement: three irrigation systems (conventional sprinkler, microsprinkler and drip); and two genotypes (Prata-Anã and its hybrid PA42-44). Four replicates were used in a 3.0x2.5-m spacing. The evaluations were done at 90, 180 and 360 days after planting. The genotypes and the irrigation systems showed significant interaction for leaf contents of B and Cu, at 180 days after planting; and the genotypes differed from each other for leaf contents of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Cu and Mn, independently of the irrigation system used. Nutrient leaf contents occurred in sufficient levels or above them. The lowest micronutrient leaf contents occur under drip irrigation. IntroduçãoA bananeira (Musa spp.), planta originária do Continente Asiático, é cultivada no Brasil em ecossistemas variados e em diferentes níveis tecnológicos. Cultivos de bananeira sob diferentes sistemas de irrigação podem diferir quanto à produtividade, ainda que se utilizem as mesmas cultivares e condições de cultivo.
