FeSO4 ⋅7H2 O Catalyzed Rapid and Efficient One-Pot Multicomponent Synthesis of Functionalized Pyrazol-yl-pyrazolone Methanes

Abstract: An efficient, environmentally benign and inexpensive route to the synthesis of a series of novel substituted pyrazol-ylpyrazolone methanes has been developed via a one-pot pseudo five-component cyclocondensation of aromatic aldehydes, ethyl acetoacetate and phenyl hydrazine catalyzed by FeSO 4 ·7H 2 O in aqueous medium.
