Fibrinolytic Treatment for Pleural Effusion

Abstract: Bacterial pneumonias are frequently associated with pleuropulmonary infections. Although most of these infections are treated with appropriate antibiotic treatment, complicated parapneumonic effusion and empyema represent the two situations where surgical interventions should be considered.
