A 47-year-old woman presented to the outpatient breast clinic with a lesion on her left nipple. On examination, the tumor originating from her left nipple was approximately 1.0 cm in diameter, soft and elastic, with a smooth spherical shape and a short pedicle (Figure 1A). On mammography, the tumor appeared as an oval-shaped, isodense mass (Figure 1B), and as a hypoechoic monotonous mass on ultrasonograph (Figure 1C). Following the initial diagnosis of a benign skin tumor, nipple-sparing tumor excision was performed under local anesthesia.
