Field Assessment of Aphid Population on Potato Crop

Abstract: During 3 successive years, 1965/66–1967/68, in India the maximum number of aphids living on potato crop amounted to 304 per 100 leaves in hill areas and 12 383 per 100 leaves in plain areas. The peak period of aphid population was recorded to be the most highest from 4th week of January to 4th week of February in plains and from 3rd week of July to 2nd week of August in hills.
