Abstract:Owning to merits such as bandgap tunability, solution processability, large absorption coefficients, and high photoluminescence quantum yields, colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) emerged as a promising gain material to make on-chip micro/nanoscale lasers with high silicon compatibility. In this paper, we review the recent progress in CQD on-chip micro/nanoscale lasers, with a special focus on the physical properties achieved through field manipulation schemes in different types of cavities. Key aspects include mani… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
