Abstract:Reclamation Highlights:
We assessed construction methods for the application of geomorphic landforming and the use of paper mill sludge as a soil amendment for coarse coal refuse. The cap and cover system included a growth layer and low-permeability layer over coarse refuse. Coarse coal refuse and paper mill sludge blend can sustain vegetation.
