Fighting spammers with spam

The paper presents some very interesting data on the impact of honeypots to trap email-harvesting bots. This approach seems like a great idea, and the data size seems quite reasonable. The disappointing part is that the paper really does not dive into the interesting aspects of the data, but instead just gives a superficial view of the overall data without answering any real questions. This seems like a great opportunity wasted.
