Filmische Stereotype im interkulturellen Landeskundeunterricht: Theorie und Praxis

Abstract: Stereotype als generalisierende Zuordnung von Individuen zu bestimmten Gruppen werden in Filmen verwendet, um dem Publikum eine schnelle Identifizierung der Rollen zu ermöglichen. Während oft der negative Charakter von Stereotypen betont wird, argumentiere ich im vorliegenden Beitrag, dass sich Stereotype produktiv für die Ausbildung interkultureller Kompetenz nutzen lassen.
