Finding a New Way to Increase Project Management Efficiency in Terms of Time Reduction

Abstract: There are three basic constraints called 'the golden triangle' in each project: time, budget and scope. Researchers and practitioners are trying to find a way to increase the efficacy of the project's outcomes in terms of shortening the project's duration, lowering budgetary costs and meeting the scope. Although several publications have been written on that topic, there is still no common solution in place. However, more in-depth research related to the specific type of projects or industries is being conduct… Show more

“…Jahantighi et al (2015) proposed a method for selecting high performance projects to solve a problem with limited resources for producing finite projects, in order to obtain the desired level of efficiency. Spalek (2014) determined specific roadmaps for three industries to increase project management efficiency in terms of time reduction.…”

“…Measurement of project success has traditionally focussed on what is referred to as the golden trianglemeets the deadline, within budget and addresses the established scope (Spalek, 2014). This approach has been criticized for being too narrow ( Jugdev and Müller, 2005) especially when considering the broader impact of key projects like Microsoft Windows which was considered a significant failure relative to the original deadlines, budget and scope.…”

“…The compression of project cycles has made time management (TM) an apex competency that influences the successful execution of other operational competencies (Spalek, 2014). Disordered adults have a disrupted executive controller within short-term memory (working memory) and difficulty accessing long-term memory which prevents accurate organizing and sequencing of events within time (Barkley, 1997).…”
