“…Recently we reported a case of oncocytic lipoadenoma, cytologically characterized by the presence of clusters and sheets of oncocytes, intimately associated with mature adipose tissue; in that particular case, as we were unaware of an entity called "oncocytic lipoadenoma" preoperatively, the adipose tissue component was ignored by us. 8 the lipomatous component seen on the cytologic smears of the present case; that prompted an easy diagnosis of pleomorphic adenoma with lipometaplasia based on the components of a classic pleomorphic adenoma intimately admixed with highly prominent lipomatous tissue.
