Abstract:Water-filled Helmholtz resonator is a primary means to reduce the hydrodynamic noise of pump and valve in naval vessels. The predicted acoustic performance of water-filled Helmholtz resonators with the effect of elasticity of cavity walls using finite element method is compared with theoretical and experimental results in references, which demonstrated the applicability and accuracy of the finite element numerical method. And then, the effect of thickness and materials of cavity walls on resonance frequency an… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
