Finite-Time Consensus Tracking Control for Speed Sensorless Multi-Motor Systems

Abstract: Considering the unknown compound interference in manufacturing systems, the finite-time tracking and synchronization performance of the multi-motor system significantly affects the production safety, reliability, and quality, which can be considered a multi-agent system with unmeasured speed and uncertainty. In recent years, the synchronous control schemes of the multi-motor system have grown to maturity, but the research on the speed sensorless finite-time consensus tracking control remains to be extended. “…This is either because it is bulky in terms of volume (for example transport) or because the system necessitates distributed actuators (in the paper, textile and general web transport) [1], [2]. These applications become multi-motors systems (MMS) [3], and multi-converters systems [4]. Vehicle convoys (in the context of a smart highway with autonomous vehicles) and electric power transmission networks with generators and distributed loads are also included in this class of system [5].…”

“…However, for all practical purposes, it is expected that agents' synchronization should take place in finite time, which motivated researchers to explore the possibility of agents synchronization in finite time. In papers [31][32][33], finite-time consensus algorithms were proposed for first-order MAS. In [34], authors have formulated the problem of MAS having second-order dynamics, where agents' synchronization is achieved using output feedback control.…”

“…The average energy efficiency of on-board HESDs η bat and η sc is set to be 0.9 considering negligible transmission loss [19]. In [44,45], the efficiency of the advanced DC and induction motors are about 90-94% and 93-95%, respectively, and then approximately set as 90%. By exploring the model, ∆t i,j = 2s is shown to provide a better compromise between computational burden and accuracy.…”
