Abstract:Endocarditis, a life-threatening inflammation of the endocardium, is incited by bacteria, fungi, or other pathogenic microorganisms. Fungal endocarditis closely mirrors bacterial endocarditis in clinical signs and symptoms, leading to potential misdiagnoses.
